I created The Balanced Life for women, like myself, who are tired of wasting time with¬† diet regimens and exercise plans that don’t provide lasting results.
This is a place for women who want to look and feel their best without giving up everything that makes life so enjoyable. It’s a place to find balance. I hope that this will be a resource that inspires you to take care of your body and mind for the right reasons; out of self-love, not out of guilt, out of pride, not shame.

My personal story…
My life changed when I discovered Pilates. My casual practice turned into my passion which eventually turned into my career.
Just like you, I’ve struggled with how to live both an enjoyable life and a healthy life at the same time. For years I didn’t believe that the two could co-exist. I love food, I love wine, and I love entertaining but these loves often conflicted with my desire to stay in shape and, let’s be honest, fit comfortably in my clothes.
I struggled with my weight and my body image.
Growing up, I absorbed the messages from the media that convinced me that I needed to have a size 2, “bikini- ready” body in order to be healthy, but more importantly I began to believe that I needed that body to be valuable and beautiful. I read diet book after diet book, tried exercise after exercise, each to no avail.¬† I went to unhealthy extremes to attain that “perfect figure” that I believed I needed before my life could really begin. For the record, I never got it, and I still don’t have it!
I spent years exercising in an attempt to drop the last 10 lbs, look good for summer, wear the latest trends, etc. etc. The motivation is different for each of us, but the desire is the same. We beat ourselves up (often subconsciously), believing that with just a little bit more guilt or internal pressure we will finally have the motivation we need to make changes once and for all.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned: guilt. does. not. work.
And so many of us use it as our primary form of motivation! I thank God that I finally found my way out of this vicious cycle and my path to freedom came through Pilates. Pilates is a form of mind-body exercise, which means it requires awareness, presence, and a beautiful combination of inner & outer strength.
Through Pilates I’ve discovered a powerful balance in my life that I was unable to find before. I feel more comfortable in my body and it is now working in my favor. It is no longer a battle. I desperately want to share that gift with you. Pilates teaches you the art of listening to your body.
Listening to your body and learning to love yourself can change your body, your mind and your life once and for all.
Like many trainers, I want to help you look and feel your best. But unlike many trainers, I deeply care about the road you take to get there. I care about the way you treat your body, the way you speak to yourself and the many life factors that influence your mental and physical health. I understand that you are busy and overwhelmed and that’s exactly why my workouts provide a thoughtful combination of effective, challenging physical training and mental rejuvenation. Yes, it IS possible to have both!
I’m here to encourage you, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and encourage a positive self-image.
I believe that when we take care of ourselves in practical, attainable ways, our bodies will thank us and function in an optimal way.¬† It’s all about balance. I indulge in the pleasures of life every day and believe you should too.
I want you to love yourself enough that you will take care of yourself through exercise, eating well and by making positive choices every day.
So let’s do this. Together, let’s begin a journey to find The Balanced Life…

Robin discovered Pilates through her competitive and professional dance career.¬†Robin recently relocated to Denver and is teaching group classes and private sessions at Park Meadows Pilates & Physical Therapy in Lone Tree. Prior to moving she taught exclusive group classes at Equinox and Stanford University. In addition, she privately trained some of Silicon Valley’s top executives, entrepreneurs and philanthropists. Her whole body approach was sought after in the bay area’s fast paced corporate environment. Clients turn to her to restore their mind and body so that they can excel in life and handle the demands of their high level careers. Robin is passionate about creating exercise programs that empower, strengthen, restore and rejuvenate her clients.
She obtained her comprehensive Pilates certification through¬†Body Arts & Science International and was trained by the highly respected¬†Kristi Cooper ¬†(creator of¬†PilatesAnytime.com). She works with a variety of clients: from those just wanting to get in shape, to those with injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, pre-natal, post-natal, back pain, scoliosis, hip replacements and more.
