The countdown is officially on!

There only 2 days left of the Pilates Summer Series challenge (4 if you upgraded) and we are finishing strong.

I’m honored and excited to share a few Pilates success stories with you today. If you’ve ever doubted the effectiveness of exercising from home, this post will be a source of inspiration. The last round of The Pilates Body Program concluded earlier this month and once again, I was left feeling so grateful for Pilates and the power it has to change people’s bodies and lives. 

Please note: in no way have these photos been retouched or edited. First and foremost, I don’t support that and second, I don’t even know how to use photoshop. :) Please be kind as these are real women and real bodies. These photos depict just 6 short weeks of changes.

“Joining The Pilates Body Program gave me the opportunity to become CONSISTENT in my workouts and meals. Having just had a baby 3 1/2 months before, my life and body was hard to recognize! Now I am 5 1/2 months postpartum and I am feeling more like myself. Working with Robin via email helped me to stay on track and helped keep me accountable. If I did falter -she was just an email away and would coach me back into the mind frame I needed to keep going.

Now that I’ve completed the program I feel STRONGER. I feel better, cleaner, happier, and more hopeful about getting back into “those” jeans. I’ve shaved off a few inches and I lost 10 pounds (and counting)!

Robin helped me let go of the GUILT surrounding food and working out! She was such a motivating coach. She answered my cries for help quickly and positively. She NEVER made me feel guilty if I went off track and she helped me to focus on my personal goals I had set for the program.

“Before the PBP, I was in a bit of a workout rut and needed a routine that could fit into my busy schedule and get me back into the habit of working out. The PBP helped me get on track. The 6 weeks was long enough that I was able to create new healthy habits, to really feel invested in our group and with the other women in the program.

Robin is awesome to work with! Most importantly: I love how real, and down-to-earth she is as an instructor – she’s totally human and will be the first to tell you that! I love that she talks about being a mom, and wife, and juggling that with having her own business, all while trying to be healthy and take care of herself at the same time. She’s an awesome example! I love that she’ll have to stop for a quick second to adjust her hair or clothing during a workout – it’s just so real, because I’m literally doing the exact same things! (I mean come on, whose hair doesn’t get all messed up after you’ve been doing some crazy pilates move!?) I also love the casual setting of the workouts – after all, we’re all doing the workouts from exactly the same place!

Robin is also super friendly and fun to watch – I don’t feel like I’m being yelled at – just encouraged!

I haven’t tried any other online programs, but I’m totally hooked on The Balanced Life now. I love how easy the videos are to do from home! I love that you can do them on your own time. I also love the community of women that Robin has been building up – it’s awesome encouragement during the program!

This program will change your life – seriously! You can make time to do the videos – you can make time to buy ingredients for the meals, and prep & cook the meals. You will feel better, stronger, and happier after the program is over!

Before the PBP I was afraid to eat. Not so much that I would starve myself, but I carefully watched what I ate avoiding fat at most any cost. I would check food package labels and if something had more than 1 or 2 grams of fat, I would put it back. I ate a lot of salads. I still do, but now they are healthy salads. I ate very little meat and no I’m not a vegetarian. I felt I had to be a certain number on the scale, or people wouldn’t like me. I felt unworthy for not being skinny enough. I didn’t like myself or the way I looked. The Pilates Body Program showed me how to eat and eat healthy. They helped me plan my meals so I always knew what I was going to eat and I was prepared. I didn’t worry about what I was eating because I knew it was healthy and had the right things (protein, fats and carbs). Yes fat! Healthy fat. I learned when to eat that made my body work more efficiently. I didn’t worry about calories or fat grams, but closely watched the size of my servings based on what Robin and Drew were recommending. I learned that I am more than a number on a scale and I can look good even if I am not on that number. I feel confident.

My life is happier and easier now thanks to meal planning!!! I learned how to plan my meals and my snacks. I have a binder of recipes and each week I make out my meal plans then shop accordingly. I don’t have a refrigerator or pantry full of “junk” that I don’t know why I bought! I don’t have to come in from work and stand in front of the refrigerator/freezer and try to figure out what to fix for supper because I know.

I am healthier, stronger, smaller and feel SO much better. I am sleeping better, more soundly, less disrupted. I don’t get up tired in the morning. I have energy all day and no mid-day slumps. My skin is looking a lot clearer, younger, healthier and my hair is growing faster! I am confident in my looks and in my clothes and it shows in the way I carry myself. My clothes fit better. I’ve learned how to relax through my pilates and breathe more efficiently. I look forward to doing my pilates each day.

Robin is wonderful to work with! Her teaching style is amazing. I was new to pilates when I started and she took the time to show what needed to be done. Robin took the time each week when introducing a new exercise to explain what we needed to do and HOW to do it properly. She was careful to explain modifications if needed and how to protect our bodies, how to breathe, how to properly engage the transverse abdominal muscle.

It was like she was in the living room with me. She would tell me good job or I could do it or pull in your abdomen at just the right time. I felt connected even though she wasn’t there. If I had a question, no matter how stupid, she always answered promptly and was most helpful. The hints she would send out were very helpful. She made me dig deeper into me and why I wanted to complete the PBP. She was our number one supporter and always so friendly and helpful. She always knew just what to say and never made you feel like you were a loser or you were bothering her. I am blessed to have found Robin and The Balanced Life and to have been able to participate in the PBP. I look forward to working with Robin again – soon! I’ll be signing up for the June round too!

If there’s one thing you need to know: it WORKS!!! You are never alone. You have a wonderful instructor that is caring and smart. There is a wonderful support group that is there at all times, ladies going through the same thing and can relate. No one will judge you when you have a bad day and go out to eat instead of following the meal plan. When you feel you are tempted or you need extra encouragement, you have it. You will sculpt your body, become leaner and stronger. You can lose weight if you want to lose weight. It looks intimidating but it is not. It is easy to follow and to complete.”

I share this with you today so that you can be encouraged and inspired. You do NOT have to spend hours a day in the gym to make positive changes in your body and health. You can do it from home, on your own time, with the support of other women. You just have to commit.

Due to the personal nature of this program, I can only take 45 women. Keep in mind there are nearly 3,000 women currently participating in the Summer Series. The PBP always sells out so be sure to register first thing Monday morning. :)

Speaking of Pilates, let’s workout!

Our last and final beach booty workout is up and ready for you to enjoy. This will be a good one to come back to all summer long.

I can’t believe this is my last workout with you! I’m going to miss this. We’ll have an amazing guest instructor tomorrow that I know you’ll enjoy. And I genuinely hope you’ll sign up for The PBP so we can continue this good thing we have going. :)
